Toni nous a donné le meilleur de ce qu’un guide peut offrir : références historiques, stylistiques et artistiques, anecdotes, conseils, tuyaux,... avec en plus, cerise sur le gâteau, sourire et sympathie. Toni est très à l’écoute des envies et des capacités physiques de chacun; j’ai fait la visite avec mon beau-père de 75 ans et il en a tenu compte dans son itinéraire. Il ne compte pas son temps: la visite a plus que largement débordé des 3 heures et ce fut un plaisir passé trop vite. Je le recommande vivement.

If you have found this tour and are reading this review, do not hesitate to book this tour immediately. Toni is a knowledgeable, friendly and generous tour Guide who will take you on not only some highlights of Lyon, but some hidden treasures as well.
Plus, you are on a small and intimate tour so have plenty of time to ask Toni questions and make some new friends.
This is the perfect tour to do within your first 48 hours in Lyon to orientate yourself with the city and gain some fantastic tips of places to visit and restaurants and bars to book beyond the tourist traps.

Our guide, Toni, was amazing! We received directions the evening before our tour to remind us where to meet him, including very specific details on what he would be wearing so that we could spot and connect with him immediately. Right off the bat, he made a good impression on us as he rattled off the names of everyone who had registered for the tour. Throughout the morning, Toni proudly showed us around Lyon and shared so much knowledge and history with us. He was fun, entertaining, engaging, and a true ambassador for this lovely city. We especially enjoyed when he showed us several of the hidden tunnels (called Traboules) that were originally used to transport silk between businesses and manufacturing sites and how he further highlighted their importance with personal stories from his family. Toni was so easy to be with throughout the day and before finishing the tour, he made sure that we all had plenty of recommendations for good restaurants, traditional bouchons, and places to visit while we were in Lyon. Our tour with him was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Lyon and Avignon over a long holiday weekend.

Outstanding tour of Lyon! This tour was an excellent way to learn about Lyon and you can see so much in only three hours. Toni was an excellent guide - knowledgable, interesting, had great recommendations and insights about the city. Highly, highly recommend this tour. I would especially recommend doing this early in your visit to Lyon - it will help you appreciate the rest of your trip!

Tour of Old Town Lyon was one of the best I've ever been on anywhere. Our guide, Toni, was super knowledgeable, spoke great English and kept the tour lively and interesting with lots of history but lots of personal insights, too. In three hours we saw so much, but it never felt rushed or overwhelming. Really a bargain and a fantastic experience.

What a special experience and a great way to see Lyon! We were only in Lyon for a day and this tour was a great introduction to the city. We could not have done this on our own. Toni presented the story of Lyon as we walked along the streets back in time through private courtyards and secret passage ways. Toni is a genuine, kind, and welcoming person passionate about sharing the history of the beautiful city of Lyon. This was a treat and I would highly recommend the experience!

Toni gave us an incredible tour around Lyon. It was our first time here, and I would recommend it as a "MUST DO" to anyone on their first couple of days here to get oriented. He took us to the vieux city, hit the major highlights, gave us a history of the city and showed us some cool things that we wouldn't have been able to find on our own. The tour was very intimate and much more enjoyable than a standard guided tour with 20+ people all wearing headphones. Toni also gave us ideas of places to eat, and gave us recommendations for the types of museums we might want to visit based on our interests. Merci - It couldn't have been a better tour!
