जागोजागी RTO agent तुमच्या सेवेसाठी बसलेले दिसून येतात, नवीन लोकांसाठी हे agent अत्यंत आवश्यक आहेत. मी जेव्हा इथे गेलो होतो तेव्हा RTO कर्मचार्‍यांचा संप सुरू होता मात्र Agent त्यांचे काम अतिशय चोख बजावत होते.

Officers are not at all punctual. Also, as the whole process of getting a license has become online, the agents are frustrated and are always angry and rude as they do not get a chance to get hefty commissions. Also, the officers ask for extra documents and pages even when we have brought along the documents required to be carried as mentioned on the website while applying online. The xerox wala outside charged 50Rs. for just two pages of printout. Everything here feels so dull and corrupted. Cleanliness is also an issue. Road surfaces are so uneven and every wall has paan pichkaris/spits. This particular area is a typical old-fashioned Indian government place.

If someone goes without an agent, the officer will see how to fail him, how will he go to the agent and see if I get anything.
RTO enquiry office is full of agents around the officer, the agents will aproch you like they work in the rto and then they will signal the officers to not accept the documents giving silly reasons like photo is not ok, documents are not complete etc. And then ask you for money to make the officer accept the documents. Corruption level is on peak here even after making things online.With out

The driving licence renewal procedure at Thane RTO takes only 7 minutes if you follow the below mentioned steps to renew your driving license :

1. Go to the sarathi parivahan website and fill all the details. Once you've filled it all you'll get prefilled forms, upload the form 1-a if above 45 years of age and a copy of your expired licence on the portal & make the payment online.

2. Print and carry the following in a stapled bunch except original aadhar and licence with the e-receipt for online application payment being on top:
i: application reference slip
ii: cmv form 1
iii: form 1-A stamped by doctor (only needed if above 45 years of age) (should be uploaded online in step 1)
iv: copy of expired licence
v: copy of aadhar card
vi: form 2
vii: e-Receipt for online application payment(keep this on top)
viii: original expired licence
ix: original aadhar card

3. When you enter go to B block and you need to enter the first cabin to the left. In it the police will check your documents and stamp it in green and ask you to sign and provide a thumb impression.

4. Once you've got your papers stamped walk to C block and go to the backside to reach the window number 13. Submit the documents and expired driving licence to them and you would get the e-Receipt for online driving licence application back with a stamp on it. Now wait for 45 days and your renewed licence would reach your home by courier.

No need for any agent just ask them where is b block where is c block if you can't read the boards properly.

Update : licence reached home on the 69th day since RTO visit. Issued by Thane RTO and delivery address in Thane itself.

Visited recently..
Things have changed in past 3 4 years..
Work doesn't used to go smoothly earlier..
But now work happens.. that too fast and without any fuss or undue demands...

Youth India

If you would like to visit RTO then please keep your whole day free from other work because once you visit RTO your whole day will be spent here. if possible get a Tiffin or lunch box so you can have a small picnic along with the RTO work.

RTO is also one of the most corrupt department in government establishment. Without the agent, it is almost impossible to get your work done, because the instructions here are not user-friendly and you’ll end up running from one window to another without your work being completed.

The RTO should be given to TATA like they’ve given the passport work to Tata consultancy services. We don’t mind paying extra money if the work and establishment is digitised for the benefit of the common men.
