The best thing about this bar/restaurant is the atmosphere. It has a good vibe both indoors (where there's often live music) and in the garden. They have nice appetizers and brunch which is descent, with a nice option of a bucket of mimosa for the table. 🙂 And there is free parking in the residential streets nearby.

On this last visit, the waiting service wasn't good, though. The food came quick but waiters never returned to refill the water or check on us, probably because each individual orders via their phone using a QR code. Yet they still charge and automatic 20% tip!

I recently stumbled upon St. Vincent, a black-owned restaurant, through Instagram and decided to give it a try for brunch. The location can be a bit tricky to find, as the building’s dark color blends in, but once you step inside, the atmosphere will blow you away. Our host was fantastic, especially after we mentioned it was our first time there. She made us feel welcome and guided us through the options.

The restaurant offers the choice to dine upstairs or outside, where you can enjoy live jazz music. Given the beautiful sunny day, we opted for the outdoor seating, which was charming with both high-top tables and regular seating available.

One unique feature is that you order your food via a QR code, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food arrived—it felt like it was there in the blink of an eye, which was great because I was starving.

The menu was diverse, with a lot of items I hadn’t seen at other brunch spots. I decided to go with the chicken and waffles, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The chicken lacked seasoning, and the waffle was a bit too crunchy for my taste. On the upside, we also ordered the pastry basket, which was a hit. The banana bread, biscuit with jam, and sweet butter were all delicious, and the cinnamon donuts with chocolate icing were a perfect sweet treat.

Overall, while I wasn’t impressed with the chicken and waffles, the aesthetics, live music, and excellent customer service might just tempt me to return. On a scale of one to ten, I’d rate this experience a six.

This place is the perfect date night spot, work colleague meet up, friend catch up date. The ambiance is amazing, the music isn’t too loud and the wine is so good. I got the wagu bolognese and it was meh, I would not get it again. The potato appetizer is so very good. I can’t wait to go back. Keep in mind it can get pricy. They didn’t have crush red pepper and that was a bummer. Any place that serves pasta should have red pepper flakes.

Cool vibes and a really nice outdoor seating space. Perfect for a good weather day in DC. Food was excellent and everyone who got pasta at our table loved their dish. Their online menu appears to be a little different than what we saw at the restaurant, so I can't find the exact name of the pasta dish pictured, but I was waygu beef and I would definitely recommend.

Great place for drinks and food with friends or a date night! Check out Wednesday live jazz music and $10 wine tasting. The happy hour bites were delicious and super affordable as well. I really loved this spot!

I visited St. Vincent for their live jazz brunch. Our table for 6 was ready just a few minutes after the reserved time (2:30) and we had a great view of the live jazz band which started at 3. Once you are seated, you can order as quickly as you'd like through the QR code. There is no assigned server so if you have questions or need something, you can request that a staff member come over through the QR code. My group tried to order our entrees at the same time so things would come out together. Although the food did come out at different times, it wasn't so terribly spread out. All of us enjoyed our food except for one friend who thought her chicken and waffles dish was dry. She didn't like the syrup served with the dish either. I tried her dish and really enjoyed the crispy skin and I thought the chicken was cooked well. I ordered the chicken fried chicken topped with gravy, with fried eggs, over medium and, a duck-fat hashbrown on the side. I thought my dish was super tasty. Other friends got the chicken sandwich, biscuits and gravy and, egg and goat cheese dish. We also shared the pastry basket and a few bottles of champagne. Unfortunately, they don't offer bottomless mimosas and the prices of drinks were average. They do offer specials on their wine by the glass but not other drink specials available. The highlight of visiting St. Vincent was the vibe that the jazz band created. They played so many great 90s and 00s hip-hop/r&b music. We all enjoyed the lively vibe.

Astoundingly great brunch. You can’t beat a sunny garden courtyard with live jazz to go with the excellent food. Highlights included the pastry basket with warm flaky biscuits and lemon poppyseed fritters with honey butter and homemade strawberry jam. crispy potatoes are a must and the frittata was so flavorful. Also love dog friendly vibe.

The vibe was good, what we ate was good, the staff was friendly, but it was very impersonal. After you are seated from the hostess everything else is through the app and it’s an automatic 20% gratuity for drop off service. The chicken and waffles were it, the waffle was very flavorful, and the chicken was moist and seasoned well. We also ordered the Brussel sprouts which were tasty while hot, but once they cooled to room temperature the sauce became heavy and overwhelmingly sweet. The fresh toast was disappointing because it appeared to be burnt although it tasted okay we just couldn’t do it because you first eat with your eyes, and eating blackened French toast just wasn’t appealing.
