Vanessa Adams did the tour and historical information session. She was very knowledgeable about the 1921 massacre, the history of Oklahoma, how the Buffalo soldiers, and numerous other history all were relevant.

Beautiful park, has a statue that commemorates everything people of color experienced in the state of Oklahoma. A nice place to meditate and express your artistic ability.

I visited the Park this Sunday (September 23). I was with a joint worship service for Antioch Baptist Church (56th St. N. and MLK BLVD) and Southern Hills Baptist Church (56th St. S and Lewis). The congregations chose to defy racial and geographical divides by holding this joint service on a Sunday morning (and research reports that this is the most segregated hour in America - our churches). After the service, the groups marched to Reconciliation Park as a sign of unity and reconciliation.

This is a small park created to memorialize the 1912 Black Wall Street tragedy. Emotional sculptures and plaques serve as remembrance to this event. There is free parking just outside of the fenced in park. The location is a little isolated from the other businesses and restaurants. It's near a highway overpass. The public restrooms were locked. But this small park is clean. Grassy areas are well kept.

Great park with history at the location of the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot. It is very historical and has a great view of the Tulsa downtown skyline too.

Be sure to visit the Greenwood Cultural Center nearby and drive down Greenwood St. which was nicknamed "Black Wall Street" before the riot occurred in 1921.

This event needs to be remembered in history by one of the biggest racial riots in the South following WWI, but more often than not, it is forgotten by history books. Hopefully this park will help keep that history and memory alive for generations to come.

Beautiful and peaceful area within downtown. The important purpose /message of the park is very apparent, but it is not in your face and it adds to the beauty of the area in the way it is conveyed. Excellent place to walk to during lunch time to relax and to do some reading of important history of the town.

I was in town for business and asked my mom to join me for a few days. Almost instantly, I panicked. What was I going to do with Mom in a city that I had never visited? Google helped me stumble across this park. Then, I spent hours in an internet rabbit hole researching the history. The day we visited the park, the weather was perfect. The park was clean, thoughtfully landscaped and well maintained. It felt tranquil and we were able to enjoy some time strolling together and independently while reflecting and talking. I even impressed Mom with my (recently acquired) knowledge. This park is a peaceful oasis that is easily accessible and offers free parking. We walked across the street to see all the street murals on the buildings and bridge overpasses too. Glad we found his place.
