This quiet park that borders the South Platte River has an expansive lawn on the southern half and a nature themed playground built around 2017. Walking trails around a low flow secondary river channel is a great place for a dog to splash in the water, let kids find tiny seashells, watch the occasional gold panner under the pedestrian bridge (the original gold spot in Denver), or witness the thousands of Canadian geese who migrate here in the winter. The South Platte River Trail passes right through the park connecting Chatfield Reservoir to Confluence Park to Henderson with almost no road crossings. The parking lot is at the doorstep of the amazing Table Public House.

Great little park hidden on the Platt. Just enough structure and non traditional equipment that lots of kids will have fun. The Platt River is right there and most kids really enjoy exploring that too!
The Public House is so very close too if need a bite or a brew.

Parks aren’t usually my but this one is on a trail where I regularly walk and they have some pretty plants, historical artifacts and a great playground to bring children. Every once in a while they change the look of the park according to seasons.

The playground is tucked between a busy bike trail and the Platte. Two small recently constructed playgrounds (one for 2-12yo and one for 5-12yo) offer lots to do. Playground and surrounding landscaping incorporates lots of natural elements (like large rocks and beetle kill balance beams). When kiddos tire of the play equipment, easy to navigate concrete steps lead you to the river to admire many ducks and geese. Nice park overall.

We accidently came across this park while visiting. Nice playground, not just the usual swings and slides. The area by the river was relaxing. There were bike trails that were busy. Ran into gentleman that told us the history of the Platte River and gold mining in the area. Enjoyed sitting on the bench, drinking coffee and resting during our vacation.

Excelente lugar para pasar el fin de semana. Con tus hijos en el area de juegos o puedes andar en bicicleta por todo el parque. Excelente vista.
