I got notification that a background check was done on me by a company I have never heard of ! I called InfoMart to inquire and left a message! Two days later Monique called me and answered questions as best as she could and said she would have a manager call me ! Several hours later manager Tim Gordon called and gave me all the immediate info he could and said he would look further into the situation and get back to me in 4 days ! Tim called me back in about 15 mins and had researched through their system further to resolve the issue completely! That sort of effort by the InfoMart team is rare in this current business climate ! My hats of to these guys for their timely response and work integrity! Thank you Tim and Thank you Monique !! DC

I want to give my little summary about this company.. I’ve applied to empire distributors a few weeks back. Info mart sent me email stated that it been Criminal records they had found. So I’ve decided to get the report of the background to see what was all on there so I can dispute the items off of it, I’ve gotten that it was gonna take 3 to 4 business days to get that report.. I’ve call to multiple times leaving voicemails and stated the same thing it’s gonna take up 1 business day to follow back up with me.. so I seen email that was listed on the site for disputed claim! So I decided to send over my certificate and fingerprints from the female county that I was never was arrested in ga so today feb 21 still have heard anything from them

Called regarding a background check that was taking a long time to return. When I contacted them I was told that my state was the hold up. I asked the rep if I needed to do anything and he stated that I could contact my state I did that only to find that info mart had to send a form that they had yet to receive. I contacted info mart regarding this and was told that
they had no idea what I was talking about. When I tried to contact them the day before I left a message for some one to call me back needless to say I got a call but I was berated for calling saying I don’t need to call them nor my state. I kindly told the young lady that called that their customer service rep told me to call and she pretty much just told me to have a nice day and hung up. Customer service gets less than one star. At this point I don’t know if a form is needed or if it was sent and no one from their customer
service could let me know either

This place sends out reports that are inaccurate. There was something on my background from about 7 years ago, and the information they reported to the potential employer was that it took place 3 years ago, in a completely different state. All of the dates were wrong, and you can't get anyone on the phone to discuss the matter. I have since written a dispute letter, and have yet to hear back. This place needs to be shut down. Giving false/inaccurate information about innocent people. They must not understand that most people have a family to provide for, and false information keeps the prospective employee from getting a decent job. Thanks a lot Info Mart. I wish I could give negative stars, because that's about what you're worth!

My last name includes an apostrophe. I was specifically instructed on both an employment application and the InfoMart background check form to exclude the apostrophe. When I submitted a copy of my social security card and ID, I received an email indicating that "the name on your driver's license and social security card do not match." My social security card includes the apostrophe, while my ID does not.

No state driver's license includes an apostrophe - special characters are not allowed. I was informed that I needed to "contact the SSA office or DMV and have your information updated." Obviously, this is ridiculous; my legal name is O'Shaughnessy.

When I called InfoMart, the person I spoke to told me that this was the only way I'd pass the background check. The state of Georgia does not include the information that special characters are omitted from the IDs they issue on any of their forms. Therefore, since my name legally has an apostrophe, it is impossible for me to pass the background check without changing my name to exclude it. Which is obviously not possible without petitioning a court, since the apostrophe is also on my marriage license.

Surely I'm not the only person that has ever had a special character in my name submit for a background check. An email to InfoMart asking about their policy went unanswered. The employment application and the InfoMart form specifically addressed what to do if your name has certain special characters - it explicitly said to omit an apostrophe. This would lead me to believe there is a policy for such an occurrence. However, asking about the policy via phone and email, I have received no response.

It's ridiculous that I would fail a background check and therefore be denied employment because of a special character in my last name.

InfoMart reported false, unverified, inaccurate, and incomplete information on about every case listed in the report. They reported 2 cases that didn't even have a case number. Other case's numbers were wrong.
InfoMart is in the business of selling gossip and making a pretty penny while slinging mud in your face.
Companies that operate like this one are extremely dangerous to the unemployed by assisting with the pre-employment background checks. InfoMart has violated my federal and state rights under the fair credit reporting act of 1996 and 1975.
InfoMart is responsible for the loss of income my family is suffering right at Christmas. They are responsible for picking what cases to report on a criminal history report. They showed no civil consideration of the fact that most of my history is over 10 years old. The information industry has a name for the ones who report out dated information. Private Investigators call them "Mad Crackers ".
Due to the fact that they have to make their own mud and let it dry, before they are able to dig up dirt on anyone. 😉
