We had a very bad experience with booking a group site here. We ended up having to cancel our trip as they had changed the amount of people allowed in the group at the last minute. We ended up going elsewhere where our group of 10 women were more welcome. They were also very difficult to deal with on the phone.

Perfect location, small and well spaced out, trail ride was phenomenal. Area is clean and the public showers and washrooms in excellent condition. The rules in place are fair and we would recommend the ranch to anyone wishing for a great outdoor rustic experience.|Thank you Mary for making it great.

My friend and I were traveling through Alberta and kept looking for an authentic Canadian farm to do a trail ride with.

We found Old Entrance by chance via Google, booked and were absolutely amazed by the experience. The horses were loved by the owner, a nice lady (Mary) and her helpers, which were all very friendly (thanks again to Josephine). The trail was beautiful, amazing views over the river and overall perfect scenery. We were accompanied by Mary’s dog Sol which was a cute little extra.
We’ve never been riding western style before but it was easy and a lot of fun. Horses seemed in good condition, calm and loved.
Would recommend 100% and we are hoping to come back for another ride!!:) thank you!

We love this place. We like to stay in the grey cabin because it has the best view. There is nothing like sitting around the fire looking across the valley watching the horses graze while the sunsets over the mountains in the background.

Don't come here expecting luxury. But do expect a beautiful, rustic setting and an immediate feeling of calm. The price is awesome for such easy access to Jasper and a cabin to yourself. Great access to hiking right on the property.

Mary is a very intelligent host and the other staff were friendly and helpful. The horses are well groomed and smart. I went with my friends and it is one of our best experience ever. Something we found very interesting was that Mary was able read our personalities and match them with the horses. The scenery through the riding was breathtaking. For most of us it was our first time on a horse. We definitely plan on going back soon.

Went for a day trip to ride their horse wagon through trails along the river. Amazing experience. They take you out into the woods for a picnic and fire pit. Kids got to roast a few sausages and marshmallows. Amazing experience and value for money. Truly a hidden gem in Hinton. Will try their cabins and teepees next time.
