Best Mexican food I've had in a whiiiiiiile. Esquites were absolutely amazing. Arroz con pollo is my favorite dish and theirs is excellent. Great warm fresh tortilla chips, and the salsa was good too. All around great meal! Margaritas were good but nothing particularly special. And I very much enjoyed the atmosphere.

I love coming here. The food and service is always great. The only thing I could ever complain about is the price of salsa and queso is a little higher than other restaurants around Indy. Also for paying almost $20 in total for both of these and they don’t even fill them up all the way. I didn’t get chips because I didn’t want to pay even more on top of the $19 ish already. I will still come here. Everybody is always kind and very attentive. I just wish for what you’re paying, you get a little bit more bang for your buck.

The salsa is a medium and the queso is considered large.

My normal place on south side I pay $22 for a large salsa (double the amount in pic), large queso, AND large bag of chips.

Glowing smiles, family-oriented, high standards for customer service. I tell you this is the place to be every weekend or any night of the week! I went recently after seeing their beautiful red and white sign which caught my attention on 86th street. It was bright and welcoming just like the family that it represents. I ordered tamales with rice and beans, a raspberry margarita that was out of this world. Everything they serve packs a full zest of flavor. Absolutely amazing!! I have dined there 4 times since I found out about them a few weeks ago. Great job!!! It is truly like family when you enter. Keep it up!!! My prayer is that your family strives in this business for years to come. Till we meet again family. Enjoy. ?✅?

I just ate here again last night. I'm hooked!!! Still same great service and food. No pics.. gobbled that food immediately!! People were singing and grooving. Great atmosphere. Can't wait for 80's Wednesday!!!! Try more themes..it would be a winner.. especially on the weekends!!!?⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a Chorizo Chimichanga , tamale, enchiladas, and kids meal burrito shredded chicken. Food tasted wonderful and authentic! Great atmosphere and music.

We go here so much and love that it’s family owned & run! The food is always delicious, the staff is very nice and greets us now that we are regulars. The decor/atmosphere is cute too! I highly recommend them!

I came here for my nephews birthday Dinner and it was amazing from start to finish. It was about 16 of us and they handled our large party quite well. The food was amazing , the service was great, Juan definitely handled us with care and continuously made sure we were ok. Thank you for everything. Not to mention the aesthetics of the restaurant was beautiful for pics. My food was great and so was my margarita. I will definitely be back !

Do not come unless you are very hungry. I'm not kidding. $16.99 will get you a nice plate full in many restaurants, but Somos Familia Mexican Restaurant gives you 2 fully loaded plates for the price with the Special Dinner (see the pictures). You get 1 each Chalupa, Taco, Chile Relleno (very good sez my chile relleno loving wife), tamale, and an enchilada along with Mexican Rice and Refried Beans. I know what you are thinking..."yeah, the beans are bland and the rice is like dry and OMG!, did they even cook this?" I can assure you the beans are tasty and the rice is moist and fully cooked. The Esquite (Elote) for $5 was a 12 oz cereal bowl full and Oh So Good!
The happy hour from 2PM to 6PM M-F is a great deal too with the drink specials and the cheap appetizers. A 64oz pitcher of Modelo only set us back $10.
We Will Be Back!
Only downside is that the restrooms are not wheelchair accessable.

Catered a 55 person party with Somos. G re at communication leading up to event, arrived on time and took care to setup the spread nicely. Good had great presentation and taste. The best Mexican caterer we’ve used on the north side.
