Just got back from the resort a few days ago. They have an ear wig infestation, one little guy even made it on to our bed. More on that later.

Suite - 10A

Location - It's very remote, big reason why we booked. You're about 30 minutes to anything. There were big trees down which were cut but still sticking out onto the road. I can only imagine how this area shuts down if those trees were to cross over. So be careful in storm season.

View - It's outstanding. We were in 10A, got some violent stormy seas. Exactly what we needed. Many seals, lots of birds, and a few hummingbirds were our constant visitors.

Suite - Aside from the aforementioned bugs, it's very pretty. Kitchen was great, everything was pretty clean.

The bugs:
On night 2, while in the bathroom, I probably killed about several earwigs. Then on the same night, one big boy decided to accompany and my wife in our bed. I didn't sleep much that night. I sent a text to the phone number who wanted to "make sure we had the best vacation imaginable" and no response except for the automated "check out" text.

Will we be back?
Due to the remoteness of the suites, the bugs, and the little care factor to do anything about it.. No.

Don't get me wrong.. It's pretty. But it has a lot of red flags.

I've been to the resort many times and it's hit and miss.
I stayed in a one bedroom Pacific view in October and the room was spotless. However, I awoke to sugar ants all over some turnovers I had wrapped in tinfoil on the counter. I took pictures and video to show the person working the desk where the ants were clearly coming from and she advised me not to leave food on the counter. No apology and she didn't seem concerned.
Last weekend I stayed in the one and only studio suite. I've stayed there a few times and I know what I'm getting but this time it was really dirty. They have gotten rid of the nasty chairs (it looks like they were just re-covered) but the love seat is old and dirty. The website says it is not dog friendly but it smelled of wet dog. I chose not to use the toaster oven as it is disgusting so I had to go into Sooke to eat. There were many dead bugs on the floor and the sliding glass doors were filthy.
The website says construction is from 8am to 4pm yet someone was drilling and hammering for an hour right outside my suite on Sunday night from 5pm to 6pm.....also, you can hear the people upstairs slamming the cupboards and stomping around. They charge quite a bit to stay here but you're not guaranteed a pleasant stay. Complaints aren't acknowledged until late in the day if at all. I've been told three things when I've complained. 1. It's posted on our website 2. There's nothing we can do. 3. You can upgrade at your expense.
Do better, there's competition out there.

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a truly memorable experience. The ocean view from my room was stunning, providing a serene backdrop to my stay. The room itself was immaculate and had a fully equipped kitchen, which made it feel like a home away from home.

Although the hotel is a bit far from town, I actually found this to be a plus. The remote location allowed me to enjoy the most incredible starry night sky I've ever seen. There were no city lights to interfere, making the night sky absolutely mesmerizing. And the sunsets? Simply breathtaking.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with natural beauty, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and soak in some of nature's most beautiful sights.

My family and I have been visiting this resort for years, however had an absolutely terrible experience during our last visit. Upon entering our room the toilet was dirty and we had no running hot water in the other washroom. When it came to going to bed, we opened the sheets and noticed spiders and dead flies on the bedsheets. Not to mention the side boards in the hallway also had dead bugs on the floor. I called the emergency number as this was after hours and the lady advised we sleep on the sofa. I called guest services first thing in the morning and was given a new room, however considering we were only there for the weekend we spent most of our time transferring our stuff (we visited with our newborn). I have been calling to speak with the manager and have had no luck. Views are great but we will never be returning after our experience and will no longer be recommending this resort to friends and family.

incredible views and official and actual west coast feeling— that keeps you at “home” because you miss the place when you are out and about. A must to go to for the full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and sunrises and sunsets. Spectacular.

The rooms were lovely, but a little dated. The views made up for it. Even though the website said there was construction it was more like destruction, 9 of us were there on a retreat for work and it was near impossible to concentrate with the jackhammering going from 8am till 4pm. Also the wifi was very sketchy and unreliable.
There are no trails to walk and no access to get to the beach. The gym is only open from 9-5 so not accessible during working hours.

The scenery here is absolutely beautiful, and I really like the environment. My kids and parents love it.

However, I am not satisfied with the front desk service and the unreasonable policy of having to fill out forms again after booking a room in advance and they didn’t mention about early checking in fee when I booked the room.

I am a single mother traveling with my parents and two children. I need to make all preparations before departure, including hotels and itineraries. This hotel did not mention that I would need to pay $50 if I arrived before the designated check-in time when I made the reservation. I did call before check-in, but no one answered the phone. The front desk was only doing what they considered to be their duty, without considering personal circumstances or my feedback.
After driving, taking a ferry, and driving on mountain roads, I was already exhausted. Therefore, I had no choice but to pay the $50 at 2:00 PM.

When I booked the room, I clearly stated my requirements: two extra pillows and blankets. No one responded to me. However, when I checked in, the front desk informed me that they did not have any extra items, only the fixed allotment for each room.

Inaccessible private beach, really disappointed in BC’s beach access laws or rather lack there of. Natural beauty only for the rich. In Oregon all 300+ miles oceanfront are by law public property free for all to access! By comparison, Washington state sucks. BC is more like Washington, sadly
