The two staff on the day I was there were very helpful. They showed me a map of the city and pointed out the areas I could explore with the three hours I had. They spoke good English as well so that was super helpful for me.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the English speaking staff at B1 Information Counter of Tokyo Station who were on duty on 26-Sep 1.30pm for their great help by saving me from missing my train and flight back to my home country.

Quiet and peaceful place. Meals served with good taste and reasonable price, especially “unagi” rice. You can book room here under Jica program

We found the information centre by accident one afternoon when we left Tokyo station. We popped in to see if there were any brochures we could pick up, but ended up leaving with so much more.

The ladies behind the counter are so helpful with advice and recommendations.

We had a problem finding a hotel for our visit to Matsumoto as it was a long weekend and could find nothing at all. We had dropped our luggage at the station and popped in to the information office to see if we could possibly use their computers, they have computers for people to use on desks. This was a God send, but even better than this was that one of the ladies, very kindly, offered to call the tourist information office in Matsumoto for us. Not only did she find us a hotel but booked it directly with the hotel too. She actually found us a lovely hotel with insensitive and in the centre of Matsumoto, we were so relieved as we were travelling with kids too.

Apart from being so friendly and helpful, the ladies went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful.

As an aside they also host calligraphy classes there too, my wife wanted to take a class but as they had found us a hotel we didn't have time.

They are incredibly kind but telling me to run on what ended up a fool’s errand is irresponsible. I was sent on some hike to buy a Passmo, never was successful and after a few days in the country I see there are signs everywhere explaining IC cards are unavailable. A recently landed traveler with suitcases would not know this, so why is TIC sending me around to find one? Nice but worse then unhelpful, wasted so much time and energy as a result.
